Your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities. We’ve developed a number of practices and policies to protect buyers, sellers and Wheel Horse itself. Please review the following guidelines before listing or purchasing a bike on our platform.

Secure Transactions

• All payments are processed through trusted third‑party providers like Stripe, PayPal, Cash App and Venmo. We do not accept cash or money orders.
• Sellers receive payment only after the buyer confirms receipt of the bike in the condition described.
• We hold funds in escrow until the transaction is complete to protect both parties. In an auction, the winning bidder’s payment is captured only when the auction ends.

Listing Moderation

• Every listing, review and post is scanned by our AI and reviewed by our team to ensure it’s appropriate for all ages. Offensive or fraudulent content is removed.
• Email verification is required for all sellers. Unverified listings will not appear on the site.
• We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate our policies.

Shipping & Packaging

• We provide step‑by‑step packing guides and discounted shipping labels. Always use a sturdy box and adequate padding.
• Insure your shipment for the full value of the bike. In the rare case of damage, insurance helps cover the loss.
• Take photos of your bike before packing and of the packed box to document its condition. These will assist in case of an insurance claim.

Meet‑Ups & Local Exchanges

• If you choose to meet in person, select a well‑lit public location and bring a friend.
• Never invite strangers to your home. Use police station exchange zones when available.
• Inspect the bike thoroughly before completing the transaction.

Privacy & Personal Information

• Do not share sensitive information (e.g. home address, payment details) outside of our secure checkout process.
• Communicate through Wheel Horse whenever possible so we can assist if issues arise.

Wheel Horse is a marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers. We do not manufacture, inspect or warrant the items sold. While we provide guidelines and support, you assume all risk when buying or selling a bike. By using this site you agree to our Terms & Conditions, including our limitation of liability and commission policy. Always comply with local laws when engaging in transactions.

How We Protect You

• Identity verification: We require sellers to verify their email address and encourage buyers to set up two‑factor authentication with their payment provider.
• Escrow service: Funds are held securely until the buyer confirms satisfactory receipt. In the event of a dispute, our support team will mediate and refund or release funds accordingly.
• AI moderation: All listings and reviews are scanned for inappropriate language, fraud indicators and restricted items. Suspicious posts are flagged for human review.
• Insurance advice: Our shipping guides include information on purchasing supplemental insurance through carriers for added peace of mind.
